What do a Dairy and Spa have in Common?
New for this fall, Shamrock Farms, and Roxie, are giving back to our teachers and schools! For schools who visit our farm tour in October, December and January, the teachers will be entered into a drawing to win:
• One of two grand-prize spa packages valued at $200
• One of two grand-prize ice cream parties
And, every participant will receive a limited edition Shamrock Farms pencil.

Entries accepted for class trips scheduled through January 31, 2009. Prize drawing will take place on or about February 13, 2009. Winners will be notified via phone and email (if applicable) no later than March 13, 2009.
About Our Farm Tour Field Trips
• Meets and reinforces Arizona education standards while making learning about dairy fun
• Works with your existing curriculum to bring classroom lessons to life • The tour is given in an open-air tram that takes you
around our working dairy farm. Tours last approximately 60 minutes.
• Your students will learn about dairy farming and see 200 cows being milked at once in a modern, theater-like setting.
• Your students will have the opportunity to enjoy Roxie's Adventure Land by climbing up a 20 foot milk bottle, sliding down a cottage cheese slide or milking a cow on our simulated milking game.
• Your students will also be visiting Roxie's Calf Nursery where they will have the opportunity to feed and pet a baby calf.
• Extra time can be added if your want your students to bring a brown bag lunch
to enjoy inside the Welcome Center Barn. For an additional fee you may purchase ice cream novelties to enjoy with your lunch.
• Roxie's Gift Shop offers fun cow spotted items to remind you and your students of your fun day at the farm.
Request Your Reservation*
For reservations call (602) 477-2462 from 9 am - 4 pm or fill out our Request a Reservation form anytime. And teachers, please call our reservation line after submitting your online form in order to confirm all of your school's details. Please have the following information when making a reservation:
• Field trip date (please have three choices ready)
• Contact person
• Contact person's cell phone number (to contact in route if need be)
• School name
• School address
• School phone and extension
• Grade level
• Number of students
• Number of teachers
• Tour time
• Any special needs for your group (e.g., wheelchair, etc.)
• School admission with ice cream package or school admission only

Welcome Barn is open from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for educational tours.

Admission Information*
School Admission/Ice Cream Package - $5.00 per attendee
School Admission Only - $4.00 per attendee
Title 1 Admission/Ice Cream Package - $4.00 per attendee
Title 1 Admission Only - $3.00 per attendee
To qualify for Title 1 admission, 50% or higher of your students must participate in the free or reduced lunch program. Teachers must provide Title 1 documentation along with payment.
Payment in full is due on or before the 14th day prior to the scheduled tour date. If payment has not been received by the 14th day prior to the scheduled tour date, Shamrock Farms' Farm Tour reserves the right to cancel your field trip.Teachers must provide Title 1 documentation along with payment if applicable.
If paying through a Purchase Order, please fax to (520)424-9438 or mail to Shamrock Farms' Farm Tour, P.O. Box 309, Stanfield, AZ 85272. Purchase Order must be received by the 14th day prior to the scheduled tour date.
*Home Schools and Pre-Kindergarten (4 yrs & up) must supply documentation to confirm eligibility for school rates.
Cancellation Policy
Field Trips may be cancelled, rescheduled or actual numbers of reserved guests may be reduced up to 21 days prior to the reserved date. After the 21st day, a 50% refund may be given for cancellations. Payment in full is expected for the number of guests reserved; even if individuals do not attend (numbers may be increased upon availability). Payment for additional guests, upon availability, will be expected upon entrance to the Shamrock Farms' Farm Tour. Rescheduled field trips must be completed through May of the same school year.
Suggestions - where to step and other farm tour tips.
To make your farm tour fun and safe, we suggest the following:
• Please check-in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time
• Plan to visit Roxie's Gift Shop (adults must accompany children at all times in the store)
• Adults should not bring younger siblings as they are responsible for the safety and behavior of the students assigned to them. Please do not allow running in the Welcome Barn or food outside of the picnic area
• Video taping of our farm tram tour is not allowed, you are welcome to take photographs on the tram tour and use your video camera in out Welcome Barn
• Be prepared to smell fresh country air
• And yes, watch where you step
